Lucia

Roses. Pearls. Blood. Death.

Vienna, 1983. You are a spy with a carbon stake driven into your skull, a device that converts every dangerous feeling into something bearable and cold. Fear becomes patience. Grief becomes nothing. Love becomes a weight you can carry without noticing it's killing you.

Your mission: seduce a West German diplomat at a masquerade ball, steal a microfilm of deep-cover sleepers, and get out clean. Your handler has given you a cover name, a perfume atomiser full of ipecac, and a compact that scans documents in ninety seconds. He has also taken your best friend hostage to make sure you comply.

But nothing about this operation is what it appears to be.

Lucia is a slow-burn visual novel about performance and identity, about the woman you become when you put on enough costumes, and whether anything real survives underneath. It features branching choices, multiple endings, and a cast of characters who all have excellent reasons to lie to you.

✦ what's in the game ✦
StorySix scenes across one night in Vienna: a café briefing, a hotel room, a masquerade ball, a suite heist, a Danube canal, and a candlelit apartment full of pastries and confessions.
ChoicesBranching paths at every critical moment. How you handle Reiker, what you do with the photograph in the safe, whether you take the macaron at the end.
EndingsThree endings depending on your final choice. A truce. A walkout. A draw. Each one costs something different.
Easter eggTry typing "Lucia" as your cover name. The Handler has opinions about that.
✦ work in progress ✦
This is an early draft. The story and engine are playable, but art is very much on the way ✦

· 1 / 12 character sprites complete
· Backgrounds are stock placeholders, original art coming
· Music, polish, and additional scenes in progress

Feedback on the writing, pacing, or anything else is very welcome ♡

✧ contains themes of emotional manipulation and loss · some scenes are 18+ Trigger warning: I can't compose for my life so if the music sucks...TURN IT DOWN. Mute the site. :p✧
